ABOUT ME:

My name is Anna Lima and I'm the Founder of LiMe SwiMWeaR. LiMe is my passion and every second working towards that goal has been very rewarding.

Outside my business I also work for Microsoft Australia as a Business Operations Manager ANZ (so you can say I juggle my time...). To be able to utilise my core skills (eCommerce / Digital Marketing) with my passion (Swimwear) it was one of the best decisions in my life.

ABOUT LIME SWIMWEAR:

Designed in Australia and Made in Brazil Swimwear. A little bit of colour and ”cheekiness” to ensure women all around feel beautiful and ready to step out of their comfort zone with no fear.

I continue to feel inspired by the incredible women I encountered across my travels and collectively, these women became the muse and inspiration behind my brand. LiMe SwiMWeaR is a trendy Swimwear Brand synonymous with richness, colour and fun. The uniqueness influenced the designs and the collections are fused with bold tropical colours and travel inspired prints.

WHY DID YOU START LIME SWIMWEAR?

The concept for LiMe was born when myself and my partner visited Brazil (my home country) and we felt the richness and cultural aspects of Brazil could bring some new life to the Australian swimwear style.

Noticing how Brazilian women wear their bikinis with such confidence and empowerment gave life to this new adventure. It really doesn’t matter what is your body shape, it matters how confident you feel and the attitude you have towards your life.

WHY SWIMWEAR?

Passion for outdoors, beach, sun, sand and confident and REAL women.

PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR?

I believe every step of the way in the creation of my business have been a great achievement. But doing my latest Spring/Summer photo shoot was amazing and seeing the results across the site it really empowered myself. Currently we also sell LiMe across an american website (www.bikini.com) and to be invited to be part of their brand portfolio was also a fantastic achievement.

I'm very proud to make the swimwear in Brazil with amazing Lycra/ Elastane materials (Brazil does have one of the best swimwear fabric materials) but also the uniqueness across the colours and designs (just by having a look across the site you can see the splash of different colours and designs).

HOW MANY PEOPLE WORK WITHIN YOUR BUSINESS?

Across Australia is a small team of only 2 (myself and my husband). Across Brazil we have around 3 which are part in the selection of designs/materials/manufacturing.

WHERE WILL YOUR BUSINESS BE IN 5 YEAR'S TIME?

We will continue to thrive as I believe if you are doing something you love the sky is the limit. Our goal is to expand the business across Children's swimwear and Gym wear. So expansion will be key to continue our success.

MY ADVICE TO SOMEONE STARTING OUT IN BUSINESS

Don't just WISH FOR IT... get up and WORK FOR IT!

Everything is possible when we put our minds to do the work.
