1. Tell us a bit about your journey, how did Marqmee begin, and what inspired you to enter the business of stall holder products?

I’ve always been an avid market lover—if there’s a weekend market on, you’ll find me there! I’m constantly inspired by the creativity, passion, and hard work that stall holders put into their products. While exploring markets, I noticed a common trend—many marquees are plain and unbranded. With my background in the print industry, I understood why: custom-printed marquees are expensive. I knew there had to be a clever, cost-effective solution that allowed stall holders to brand their setups without breaking the bank or losing the authenticity of their stalls. That’s where my creative journey began, leading to the design of the MarqMee Magnetic Sign—a simple, affordable, and effective way for stall holders to showcase their brand with ease.

2. Who are the key people behind Marqmee and what roles do they play in the company?

MarqMee is a husband and wife-led business, Richard and I are supported by an incredible team of experienced design, print and signage professionals. Each team member plays a vital role in driving our business forward, from graphics and design to print and production. Together, we ensure every aspect of our process runs smoothly, delivering high-quality results for our customers.

3. What motivated you to specifically create products for stall setups and how have you seen these products make an impact on market vendors?

I was driven to create a cost-effective solution for branding marquees without the high price tag of fully customised prints. I noticed that many market vendors, community groups, and sports clubs were using plain, unbranded marquees, which limited their visibility and professional appeal. This was evident not only at markets but also at my kids’ sporting events and larger events. Recognising this gap, I was motivated to develop an affordable and accessible solution that allows vendors to go from “Bland to on Brand” as we like to say at MarqMee!!!

To make stall branding even easier, MarqMee offers a complete range of products, including customised printed tablecloths, outdoor flags, banners, and other essential print materials. Our goal is to provide a one-stop solution that helps vendors create a professional and eye-catching presence at any event.
